Avatar is a total cinematic success! Overall nice graphics and nice and easy plot to follow.

...Unfortunately the plot is weak and predictable. (Pocahontas in Space!!!) There are just too many factors that nagged away at me as I watched it. So... I can't give it any points in the department. It downplays too many elements THAT COULD HAVE BEEN EXPANDED ON BETTER and in the end it's just a pretty movie.

I'm already ranting about this to Neon and Anna on twitter/msn so I shall just save my flist the trouble.. |D

To add on to my CF post from yesterday.
Things I loved about CF 2009, aside from meeting everyone. :3
1) The anti-twilight sentiments. Seriously, seeing the sign that says 'No *pika* vampires' in large text and in smaller text '*ahem* twilight' really really made it a good start of the day
2) Hearing people asking their friends 'what is fujoshi?' after kitmun participated in one of the solo cosplay competition skits. Maybe it's better you guys don't know. Really.
3) Nendrooooids T__T So expensive but neeendrooooids.
4) When the following songs were sung on stage: 'Doubt and Trust' by access and 'Oblivious' by Kalafina
5) Spotting this shop that was selling BL manga/doujinshi (translated to chinese). The best part was 'Chintsubu A' was the doujin that sat out in the open. So unsafe.
6) Okita's eyemask. I DIDN'T BUY IT. BUT OKITA'S EYEMASK DX
7) The emcees were amazing. I salute them.
8) Buying Kidchan's 'Loving it' postcard.
9) Finding and buying a 'yaranaika' badge and a 'Real Vampires don't sparkle' badge.
10) Ultrawoman |D

Sorry I've got no pictures. I brought a camera but I didn't use it. <-- lazy bum.

The only time I used it was during one of the solo cosplay competition skits. The one with Final Fantasy Dissidia's Garland and Devil May Cry's Vergil. That was just one of the epically amazing skits. (so BL hahaha)

Was so surprised by the number of Hetalia and Volcaloid cosplays and merchandise at the event/booths. I had no idea there were so many people into Volcaloids locally. D: I lost count of how many Rins and Lens and Gakupos and Mikus I saw.

There was a complete set of cosplayers for the two following volcaloid vids that I could identify:
1) Synchronocity
2) Imitation Black

It was good fun. Met up with gerai_neon, may_billy, anna_chiba, kitmun, priestnobaka, my_chris and met a few others. Also met Claude from Sabra La Tau.

It was fun and tiring and I kept losing sight of people throughout the day. |D I bought more stuff than I thought I would too. Short report is short. I'm lazy and I want to go to bed. zzzzzzz

Dolls doujinshi makes me so happy. (Thank you, skutergirl) The Remix version has a crossover of all three naked-ape works. (How do you pronounce the name 鵺射? Nue-something? Nuesha? -_- or Yasha?) Hal and Shouta's 'rivalry' is amazing. The way Kai is just LIKED by all of the Tokkei and how Hal had to kidnap Kai away from everyone in the end. ♥

The Sakurazawa and Shouta omake are my favorites. With Shikibu and Usaki omake next. And Shouta and Tama third.

This makes me want to buy 鵺射 because it's only one volume. (I will finish reading Switch one day. Probably.)

I'll go to bed in glee with the doujins now. <3

Started playing 'ダテにガメついわけじゃねぇ！' on DS. I haven't gotten to game play yet but the dialogue is cracking me up. It helps that the main character is voiced by Sugita and the annoyingly chipper character is voiced by Shimono. Un.

I don't have anything interesting to add. I'll be attending Comic Fiesta Day 2 (and hopefully not spend too much) So yay~
Seeing Kara no Kyoukai stuff on Little Akiba's list of items makes me want to cry. ;o;

...After finding out who voices Hal, it made that Hal and Shouta argument (with Usaki in the same panel) even more special. Hal and Usaki have the same seiyuu - Sakurai.
Ditto for when Shouta 'molested' Kai. (Kai and Tama have the same seiyu - FukuJun)

Just finished watching it. It's as good as I hoped it would be. \o/ Despite slight differences from the novel (and the lack of the epilogue!)
The moments that made me lfkjsdak a lot in the novel were equally (if not more) flksjfsalk in the anime.
Animation was a lot better than the last 6 movies. And just... all three seiyuu!! Good job! \o/ Sakamoto Maaya and Suzumura Kenichi's voice acting. And Hoshi Souichirou's crazy character! (He needs more of these. So amazing ♥)

Belated JLPT update.

Level 3 went pretty well. If I don't pass this one, I'll jump off a building. ;o;
Level 2 is... uhm. Well I feel good about it overall but I'm probably hovering at the passing mark. I may or may not pass. :| Oh well. I'll know in 3 months.

The listening section kept making me snicker during it. And from what I heard (from Nickie) and read (on a site), level 1 had one question with Evangelion reference. Some sections already made me snicker in level 2 and level 3's listening, if I had a full fledge anime reference question like that, I'll just want to laugh so hard I'll forget what the question was. |D

Overall, JLPT wasn't too stressful. And if it does happen that I fail both, I'll try again next year.

Does anyone know anything about this site called Oovoo?

I'm starting to find it to be uber obnoxious and suspicious. It sent me an email saying I have an account there and there's a username and password on the email. This was about 4 days ago. After that it sent me two more emails to tell me how to Oovoo. (It';s like a video message site or something. idk) I refuse to click on any links on those emails so I went and separately found the site via google and logged in.

The account exists but there's no options to change password or options to stop them from sending me anymore emails. (Plenty of options on how to upgrade this account and make payment though :DDD) Wrote an email to the support with hopes they'll do what I asked them to. 'Close the account and stop sending me emails. wtf'

Seriously. Wtf?

Fun day today. Hung out with the guzu at midvalley. Caught up on things and decided on presents and watched Astro Boy and also bought some presents. :D

Astro Boy was surprisingly good. It's not phenomenal but it's entertaining and they did it in such a way that it catered to the adults as well as the kids. I'm just a little sad that the audience we were with didn't catch a lot of the jokes that appeared throughout the movie. Then again, I probably should be thankful that it was such a quiet showing we sat through, what with all the kids that were in the cinema.
So, Astro Boy is definitely a recommended watch. *nods*

We went our own ways at around 6. Had dinner with Von and then went to hang out at her place. Spent the good majority of the time watching AAA music videos and lives. God, this group is good. Their name has intrigued me since I first started watching Den-O but I never googled them. Now, I just regret not starting earlier. Their performances are amazingly entertaining and fun. AAA pimping post to follow soon. \o/ (dammit von)

Also watched the first ep of Kimi ni Todoke. This is such a cute (and slightly frustrating) anime. Aaaah.

And that is it for the first day of long weekend!! I think I'm going to get some transliterating done. I haven't touched the lyrics for Suzu's 'Becoming'. Oops.

There was a moment of shock and disappointment when I walked into Rock Corner, Subang Parade and they told me they didn't have Star Trek DVD.

Then I called kataren and whined at her because I made the trip and no DVD. Sooob. She suggested Speedy (BLASPHEMY) but eh... I went there and bought it. I couldn't even find the DVD because Speedy arranged it in such a way that the 2-disc versions was hidden behind a normal 1-disc version. (wtf, mate)
